KCR-1 Board Offers Athletic Director Position to Stephanie Crawford

The Knox County Board of Education offered a contract to Stephanie Crawford as Athletic Director/Athletic Trainer/Sub Finder, as well as numerous other contracts during the executive session meeting on Tuesday evening, July 17. 
Crawford will also serve as Head Varsity Girls’ Softball Coach.  She is replacing Steve Ramer who resigned as Athletic Director at last month’s meeting and was offered a contract as Maintenance Director, in addition to his other duties.  Last year, Crawford served as the Assistant Varsity Girls’ Softball Coach and taught high school science.
Ryan Waters was offered a contract as Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach and Roger Parton a contract as the JV Girls’ Basketball Coach.
Co-Head Varsity Track Coach contracts were offered to Kate Murphy and John Weaver.
Martha Gudehus, as well as Judy Shultz, Kim Bair and Mark Vaugine were offered contracts as Junior Class Sponsors for the upcoming school year.  Contracts for Senior Class Sponsors were received by Jerome Anderson, Kate Murphy and Erin Trutwin.
Shelley Fox and Brian Schmidt were offered contracts as substitute bus drivers contingent on them meeting all the certification requirements. 
Several other contracts were offered during the evening meeting including: Jeff Chockley, part-time maintenance worker; Betsy Ayers, MS Drama sponsor; Judy Shultz, FBLA sponsor; Jessica Erwin and Ben Bradley, Summer FFA Co-Advisors; Tracy Mallett, Marching Band and Pep Band Sponsor; Joyce Delaney, National Honor Society Sponsor; Melissa Leverton, HS Student Council Sponsor; Cheyrl Newland, Vocal Music Sponsor; Staci English, HS Year Book Sponsor; and Bobbette Kelley, MS Yearbook Sponsor.
