Citizens Bank President Killed In Accident

A two-vehicle accident on Route J four miles north of Hurdland leaves one man dead and another seriously injured.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop B, Macon, Scott A. Childress, 50, of Edina, was fatally injured on Monday afternoon, August 27, 2007 when he turned into the path of a northbound 2005 Dodge Dually pickup driven by Eric J. Probst, 20, of Memphis.
Childress was taken to the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri where he was later pronounced dead. Probst was transported by Knox County Ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia, MO with serious injuries.
Childress was the President of Citizens Bank of Edina.
The report states that Probst was not wearing a safety device and it is unknown whether or not Childress was using a safety device. The Probst vehicle, in addition to Childress’ 2005 Chevrolet pickup sustained total damage and were towed by Hunter’s Towing, Edina.
The MSHP was assisted by the Knox County Sheriff’s Department, Knox County Fire and Rescue, and the Knox County Ambulance District.
