Baring Man Held on Assault, Burglary Charges After Truman State Incident

Andrew M. Couch, 21, of Baring, MO was arrested on Sunday, January 20, 2008 on assault and burglary charges.
According to a press release from the Truman State University Department of Public Safety officers responded to Dobson Hall to a report from the night monitor of an intoxicated male entering the building.  Officers located Couch in a room in Dobson Hall.  He had assaulted one of the residents of the room.  Couch was arrested by the investigating officers.  Couch is not affiliated with the University.
Couch has been charged with Burglary 1st degree and Attempted Deviate Sexual Assault, both felonies under Missouri law.  He is currently being held in the Adair County Detention Center under $75,000 cash only bond.
