County Commission Amends County Health Ordinance

On Friday morning, June 27, 2008, Knox County Commissioners approved another amendment to the county health ordinance providing for capacity guidelines for a Class IV CAFO.

Amendment 2.4 A Class IV CAFO is one that has a capacity of 300 to less than 1,000 AU. In October 2007, when Knox County Commissioners made the Class IV amendment to the county health ordinance, they inadvertently omitted those capacity guidelines.
