Clean Up–Way Up!
EDINA WATER TOWER – City employees have been busy the past couple of weeks making the city look nice for Cornfest. Midwest Mobile Washers, Morrison, IL was in town on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 giving the water tower a much-needed cleaning.
A cleaner containing bleach formula was sprayed to kill enzymes. Then the tower was power washed using approximately 2,500 lbs of pressure, followed by an enzyme barrier to deter mold from returning. The process cost the city $5,555.10; it was last cleaned in 2005.
