 Ellis Sentenced for Exploitation of Elderly

Brian S. Ellis, DOB 12-23-1972, of Hannibal, MO was sentenced in Knox County Circuit Court on Friday, September 5, 2008.

According to Knox County Sheriff Mike Kite, Ellis was sentenced to two years in the Department of Corrections, which will run concurrent with his probation violation, a total of five years.

Ellis, and Daniel M. Brown, DOB 9-13-1979, of Boonville, MO were arrested over the weekend of August 1, 2008 for financial exploitation of the elderly. Ellis was charged with a Class D felony. He was picked up on a probation violation having been recently incarcerated for a similar crime.

On, July 16, 2008, Ellis and Brown approached and exploited an elderly woman in Edina.
