Former Edina Resident Injured in One Vehicle Accident

Four people were injured in a one-vehicle accident in Schuyler County, Saturday, October 25, 2008.

According to the MSHP, Troop B, Macon, a 2003 Landrover Discovery operated by Eric G. Dickerson, 29, of Downing, MO was eastbound two miles west of Downing on Route V when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, traveled through a fence, crossed the roadway, traveled through another fence and overturned several times.

Occupants Tonya L. Kice, 29, of Memphis, MO and Patricia A. Howes, 37, of Memphis, MO (formerly of Edina) were seriously injured. Another occupant, Andrew J. Boyer, 23, of Memphis, MO and the driver sustained moderate injuries. All four people were transported to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO by Schuyler County Ambulance. The vehicle received extensive damages and was towed by Keith’s Towing.
The three occupants were not wearing safety devices and it is unknown whether or not the driver was wearing a safety device. Dickerson was charged with driving while intoxicated; additional charges are pending.

The MSHP was assisted by the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office and Schuyler County Rural Fire.
