Newark Man Arrested for DWI in Shelby Co. Wreck

Robert A. Fry, 49, of Newark, MO was the cause of a Shelby County accident on late Sunday afternoon, October 26, 2008, on Route E north of Bethel.
According to the MSHP, Troop B, Macon, Fry’s westbound 1995 Chevrolet crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound 1999 Ford occupied by a man and his daughter at 5:45 p.m. Joseph P. Joseph, 50 sustained minor injuries as well as, Loren M. Joseph, 13, who was moderately injured. They were transferred to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO by Salt River Ambulance. Fry was uninjured.
All three involved were wearing a safety device. The Fry vehicle had moderate damage and damage to the Joseph vehicle was extensive; both were taken to Heartland.
The MSHP was assisted by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Kirksville Daily Express, Fry was arrested for driving while intoxicated and with a suspended license.
