Knox County Chamber Plans Trivia Tournament

Knox County Chamber Plans Trivia Tournament

By Carol Kincaid

The Knox County Chamber of Commerce Board members held their regularly scheduled February 4 meeting at Knox County Lanes in Knox City, a Chamber member.
The main focus of the meeting was the discussion of the upcoming “Trivia Contest for Closet Geniuses”.

Chamber members were trying to judge whether the Edina Country Club would hold a larger crowd of participants for the contest. The Board decided to table further discussion until after the March meeting, which is scheduled to be held at the Country Club. It was a consensus that members would be able to tell at that time whether or not the facility would work for the Tournament.

A date for the tournament was set tentatively as May 2, so teams should start planning their strategies and contacting their members.

A suggestion was made to check into the cost of making a Knox County businesses ad for one of the television stations next Christmas. Debbie Edwards was to check with contacts about the cost.

The ribbon cutting to show Chamber support of the move by Gigi Draper Accounting firm to Main Street was tabled until firm members had more free time.
The next meeting of the KC Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for March 4 at the Edina Country Club.
