Redmon Declares Candidacy For First District State Representative
Craig Redmon has announced his candidacy for First District State Representative. Redmon was approached about running for the seat currently held by Representative Brian Munzlinger, last year.
Redmon is a lifelong resident of Northeast Missouri and a graduate of Highland High School. He graduated with a Business Administration and Economics degree from Culver-Stockton College. Redmon and wife, Brenda, live in Lewis County and have been married for twenty years. They are the parents of twins, Andrew and Audrey, who are sophomores at Culver-Stockton College.
“Since I have grown up I Northeast Missouri, I understand the issues we all would like to focus on. I take a common sense approach to government,” declared Redmon. If elected to represent the northeast region, Redmon said his focus will be on a number of concerns like agriculture, keeping and attracting new business to the first district, a fair funding formula for our school districts, better funding for senior citizens, and less government and taxation.
Redmon worked for Ayers Oil Company for fifteen years and then went into partnership with Express Depot for eight years. Following the partnership Redmon and his wife started their own business, which they operate in Lewis County. Along with running a business, Redmon sat on the Canton R-V School board for nine years. “We have deep roots in our district and would like to see it prosper.”
