Crosspointe RCF Finding New Homes For Patients

When Crosspointe was notified by the Missouri Department of Senior Services their license was revoked and they would have to close down by February 15, 2011 they had 28 clients and 11 employees who would have to find accommodations and employment elsewhere.
As of Friday, February 4, 2011, Crosspointe Administrator Cheryl Kline said, “We are down to five patients right now and will move two more tomorrow so we’ll be down to three. Most of them have gone to either to LaBelle Manor Care or Preferred Family Health Care in Kirksville.”
Kline says LaBelle Manor Care, where many of Crosspointe’s clients have been transferred, is a good fit because the Director of Nurses from Crosspointe is now the Social Services Director and the last Administrator from Crosspointe is the Director of Nurses there. For those reasons Kline encouraged many of Crosspoite’s clients to go there. She’s says the Crosspointe clients who have made the transition will have familiar faces around, which will greatly help them transition into their new home.
Of the 11 staff members who were employed at the facility last month six are still working there, one found employment at LaBelle Manor Care, one was injured and can not work, and three are on standby waiting to be laid off.
