By Lois Hunziker

It will be 150 years ago this April since the Civil War began. Communities all across America are gearing up for this Sesquicentennial by planning reenactments and other learning events to take place over the next 4 years. A group of people from the Knox County community and students from the school are joining together to prepare a program that promises to be both informative and entertaining. So watch the Sentinel for further updates.
Anyone having information to share on their Civil War ancestors or Civil War artifacts they’d like to display at the event is asked to contact Lois Hunziker at 660-434-5250.
