HILDE E LILLARD
Hilde Emma Lillard, age 81, of Lewistown, MO, died Friday, May 25, 2012, in Country Aire Retirement Estates in Lewistown, MO.
She was born March 15, 1931, in the Teplice, Czech Republic the daughter of Franz Fara and Rosa (Jungwirt) Fara Kohler.
She was united in marriage to Lilburn Lear Lillard on October 16, 1959, at Wiesbaden, Germany and he preceded her in death on March 25, 1996. Hilde was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister Helene (Fara) Mueller.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews including Eva Schmid, Christian Schmid, and Sabina Schmid, Gloria Homan, Jeannie Franks, Debbie Housman, Cathie Lanter, Eddie Klocke, Sindey Doscher, Polly Klocke, Jan Rooney, and Robin Thole, and many great nieces and nephews.
Hilde Emma Lillard received her education in Czechoslovakia. Hilde was employed for several years as a cook in the High School in San Antonio, TX. She and her husband also lived in the Newark community for ten years. She was a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ewing, MO. Hilde loved her pets – she always had dogs and cats, and even fed the wild animals. She loved being outdoors, especially attending to her flowers and garden.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at the Queen of Peace Church in Ewing, MO. Father Basil Eruo officiated the services. Burial was in the Gilead Cemetery east of Ewing, MO. Music was provided by Nina McKenzie.
