Bank Teller Arrested For Felony Check Forgery

According to court documents Knox County Associate Circuit Judge William E. Alberty issued a warrant for Amy Mallett, 34, of Baring on November 9, 2012 for forgery, a Class C felony.
The documents read that Mallett allegedly altered a check dated October 15, 2012 by whiting out the “pay to the order” line and writing her own name in its place without the authorization of the account holder. The documents also state, “Mrs. Mallett works as a teller at Citizens Bank of Edina where the check was cashed.”
Mallett was arrested by a Knox County Sheriff’s deputy on Wednesday, November 5, 2012 and released on ten percent of a $2,500 bond. She is scheduled to appear for an arraignment on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in Knox County Circuit Court with Judge Alberty presiding.
