Edina Man Charged With Felony Tampering

According to court documents, a few days before Christmas, on December 23, 2012, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Daniel Roux, 40, of Edina was arrested for allegedly being the culprit of an array of criminal activity in Edina.
Roux is accused of threatening three people, one with a knife, slashing six tires at a home on Morgan Street, harassing one of the victims at their place of business and kicking in the door of the Arment Commercial Contracting building on East Lafayette Street in Edina all between December 21 and 23, 2012.
According to the police report the saga began over a financial dispute between Roux and the owner of the business concerning payment for a roofing job.
The climax of the dispute happened on December 23 when the Arment companies door was kicked in and an altercation between Roux and Chad Arment ensued, which, according to the report, ended with Arment punching Roux in the face and knocking him to the ground after Roux was told to leave the property several times but refused.
Law enforcement officials later arrested Roux at his residence on Morgan Street in Edina and placed on a 24-hour hold. The following day, Christmas Eve, the Knox County Prosecutor’s office filed two Class C felony charges of tampering with a vehicle against him.
On Thursday, December 27, 2012, Judge William E. Alberty denied Roux’s request to be released on his own recognizance in Knox County Associate Court. He is being held at the Lewis County Jail on a $10,000 cash only bond and is due back in court January 15, 2013.
This case was investigated by the Edina Police Department, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
