Salt River Bridge on MO 156 in Knox County Closed For Replacement Beginning July 22, 2013

Route 156 – Bridge replacement at Salt River; road will close July 22; Estimated completion October 1.
Maintenance
Route TT – July 15 one lane traffic from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at various locations for pavement repairs from MO 15 to MO 156.
Route V – July 16 one lane traffic from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at various locations for pavement repairs from Route M south of Rutledge to Route K.
Route AA – July 17 one lane traffic from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at various locations for pavement repairs from MO 15 north of Edina to Route V.
Route K – July 18 one lane traffic from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at various locations for pavement repairs from MO 11 at Baring to MO 6 at LaBelle.
Various Routes – July 15-26 possible intermittent lane closures or slow moving vehicles blocking driving lane for surface and/or roadside maintenance operations in various locations.

MoDOT – Weather permitting, on Monday, July 8, MoDOT and its contractor will begin work on the Salt River Bridge on MO 156 in Knox County. During the week of July (22), traffic may be reduced to one lane at times. Then on Monday, July 15, at approximately 7:00 a.m., the bridge will be closed to all traffic while it is being replaced. The project was awarded to Bleigh Construction Company in the amount of $899,874.15.
The new bridge, which will be 4 feet wider, should re-open in approximately 55 days. The remaining work on the project will be completed by early October.
Road closure signs will be in place notifying motorists of the work. A signed detour will also be in place while the bridge is closed. Motorists are encouraged to take US 63 to MO 6 over to MO 15.
Some areas of the road will remain open to residential traffic only; all other traffic must take alternate routes during this time.
