Sentinel Reporter Subpoenaed To Appear In Court After Publication Public Documents In Murder Case
Edina, MO – On Thursday morning, October 31, 2013, Knox County Sheriff Allen Gudehus hand delivered a subpoena to Edina Sentinel reporter Echo Menges at the newspaper office ordering her to appear at the Clark County courthouse on November 5, 2013, in relation to case number 13CK-CR00286, the State of Missouri vs. Glenn Head.
Menges has been subpoenaed by Head’s defense attorney, Charlie James, to appear before Judge Gary Dial, in Clark County Circuit Court.
James indicated the reason for the subpoena was based on the publication, in last week’s issue of The Edina Sentinel, of motions presented to the court by the defense but would not elaborate further.
Menges has not been called as a witness or subpoenaed to attend the Jury Trial of Glenn Head for the alleged murder of his neighbor William “Bill” Bacon on December 11, 2012, in rural Novelty. The trial is scheduled to begin on November 12, 2013, and Menges has been summoned to appear one week prior to the trial.
Because of deadline limitations the details of Menges’ court ordered appearance will be given in next week’s issue of The Edina Sentinel.
