BREAKING NEWS – Knox Eastern District Commissioner Resigns After General Election

At about 11:30 a.m. today Wednesday, November 5, 2014, the Knox County Eastern District Commissioner Terry “Red” Callahan (D) submitted a letter of resignation to the Knox County Clerk’s Office.

Callahan recently went up against Knox County Incumbent Presiding Commissioner Evan Glasgow (R) for the Presiding Commissioner seat in the 2014 General Election, which was an unprecedented race in Knox County with two current county commissioners vying for the Presiding seat.

According to Callahan his resignation is effective immediately. He declined to comment for this story.
