New Boil Order Issued for Southeast Edina, Water Main Valve Replacement VIDEO

On Wednesday morning, July 29, 2015, service was interrupted to a portion of Edina’s water customers for several hours after it was discovered a valve in the city’s water main needed to be replaced.

The valve was located at the intersection of East Randolph and South Campbell Streets.

According to the Work Crew Supervisor Ty Parrish, the valve was working before the water main break on South Sixth Street the day before. Turning the water off and then back on caused the issue in the valve.

The valve was replaced and water was restored at approximately 2:15 p.m.

A new Boil Order has been issued for southeast Edina. The Boil Order will be in effect for 48-hours from the time service was restored, until 2:15 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2015.
