LEWISTOWN APPRECIATION DAY ROYALTY – Lewis County R.E.C. sponsored the Little Mister & Little Miss Lewistown royalty contest on Saturday morning, September 12, 2015 at the park.

  Contestants for the event were Lucas Cunningham, age 5, son of Katrina Bradshaw, Seth Sharpe, age 4, son of Brad and Heather Sharpe, Jessica Fountain, age 5, daughter of Bill and Robin Fountain; and Kelshawn Hickman, age 4, son of Kelsey Bugh and Shandall Hickman.

  Fishing and swimming were the answers to a favorite thing the contestants liked to do. When asked what they wanted to be when they grew up, the answers were in no particular order: a hospital guy, a leprechaun, a dog and a doctor. 

  Seth Sharpe and Jessica Fountain were crowned as Little Mister and Little Miss Lewistown following the question and answer portion of the contest.

  Jessica is the granddaughter of Bill and Judy Fountain of Knox City.

 

  PEDAL TRACTOR PULL – Sharpe Insurance, Inc. and Lewis County Mutual Insurance sponsored the Pedal Tractor Pull held Saturday morning, September 12, 2015 in the Lewistown Park Shelter House.  All participants won ribbons and a $2.00 bill.  Meloy Stahl donated the sled and the City of Lewistown donated the tractor used in the pull. Quincy/Hannibal Tractor Supply donated a toy tractor for the drawings.

  0-49 lb. Girl’s Division – 1^st Bailey Cary, 2^nd Emma Berry, Jessica Fountain 3^rd; 0-40 lb. Boy’s Division – 1^st Seth Sharpe, 2^nd Lucas Cunningham, 3^rd Isaac Roberts; 50-65 lb. Girl’s Division – Chevie Sharpe, 2^nd Keara Rothweiler; 50-65 lb. Boy’s Division – 1^st Grady Carper, 2^nd Zach Neisen, 3^rd Ira Wattman; Open 65 & Up Division – 1^st Austin Carter, 2^nd Kathryn Darnell, 3^rd Abigail Lay.

  Prize drawing winners were Noah Lewis, Bailey Cary, Abigail Lay and Jessica Fountain.

 POWER WHEELS DERBY WINNERS – 1^st Place winner was Calyn Mathes, age 5 of Maywood, Missouri.

  2^nd Place winner was Holden Lay, age 8 of Lewistown, Missouri.
