Three Lewis County Residents Involved in Single Auto Accidents
On Thursday, November 12, 2015, at 11:10 p.m. a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Ryan M. Waterman, 19, of Durham, Missouri, was southbound when he fell asleep and traveled off the left side of 275 Avenue, .25 mile north of Route AA, north of Durham, striking a tree.
The truck was damaged extensively and was towed from the scene by Roberts Garage of Ewing, Missouri. The driver is insured and was wearing a safety device.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Lewis County Sheriff Dept. and Fire and Rescue.
On November 12, 2015 at 1:45 p.m., on County Road 454, six miles east of Memphis, in Scotland County, Missouri, 20 year-old Dustin M. Bookout was driving westbound when the 2003 Jeep he was driving ran off the left side of the road and struck several trees. Bookout is insured and was wearing a safety device. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Lakeside Towing of Memphis, Missouri.
Bookout suffered minor injuries and was taken to Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Missouri.
The Missouri State highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Scotland County Sheriff Dept.
On Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 7:45 a.m., a 2000 Mercury Sable was totaled when Brittany K. Dare, 18, of Knox City, Missouri, was eastbound and travelled off the right side of Highway 6, 2 miles east of LaBelle. Dare and a passenger, 54 year-old Penny S. Corbin of LaBelle, both received minor injuries and were transported to Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois by Lewis County Ambulance.
The driver is insured and was wearing a safety device. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Roberts Garage of Ewing, Missouri.
The Missouri Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Lewis County Sheriff Dept., LaBelle Fire Dept., Lewistown Fire Dept. and Lewistown EMS.
