Teens Injured In Single Automobile Accident

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016, sixteen year-old Ronald T. Pearl of Canton, Missouri was driving a 1992 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on Orange Street, three miles northwest of Canton, when it was extensively damaged after he ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Pearl received minor injuries as the report stated he was not wearing a safety device.

Occupants in the vehicle, 16 year-old Sarah G. Matthews, of Kahoka, Missouri was moderately injured, and 15 year-old Hannah M. Vannaken, of Canton, Missouri, suffered minor injuries in the accident as she was not wearing a safety device.

The report also stated that Matthews and Vannaken were transported to Blessing Memorial Hospital by Lewis County Ambulance District.
