Two Knox Sheriff Candidates Withdraw From Race
According to Knox County Clerk Marlene Spory, two candidates running for Knox County Sheriff have officially withdrawn from the race.
On Thursday morning, March 31, 2016 Carl Knoche (D) and Ryan Bishop (R) submitted nearly identical letters to withdraw themselves from the race. No reason for withdrawing was given in writing.
Both men are deputies for the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and showed up at the same time, 10:39 a.m., to withdraw.
Two candidates are still running for the office of Knox County Sheriff. They are incumbent Allen Gudehus (D) and challenger Robert Becker (R).
