Edina, Missouri – A juvenile trumpeter swan has been shot and killed near Edina.
Knox County Missouri Department of Conservation Agent Andrew Feistel recently received a report of a swan that had been found dead. Upon investigation it was discovered the swan had been shot. Trumpeter Swans are protected by Federal and State laws and may not be shot.

A reward will be offered for information related to the arrest and conviction of the person that shot the swan.
If you provide information that results in an arrest and you have asked to be considered for a reward, the reward request will be submitted to a citizen board of the Conservation Federation of Missouri. That board assigns a reward based on the severity of the violation involved. Rewards range from $50 to $1000.
