Update: Fatal Crash West of Edina

Update on the fatal crash west of Edina:

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, 22-year-old Robin Helm of Kirksville, MO was killed in a single vehicle rollover, which occurred at approximately 3:14 p.m. in rural Knox County four miles west of Edina on Highway 6 on Saturday, May 28, 2016.

Helm was westbound in a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero when her vehicle crossed the highway, traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned. She was not wearing a seat belt.

Helm was pronounced deceased by the Knox County Coroner Jeff Doss at 4:10 p.m.

MSHP, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Knox County Ambulance District and Knox County First Responders responded to the crash.

This is the fifteenth fatality in the MSHP Troop B area in 2016.

According to reports, on Saturday afternoon at approximately 3:00 p.m. a single vehicle crash occurred between Edina and Hurdland on Highway 6.

According to the Knox County Coroner Jeff Doss, on person was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 4:10 p.m. That person’s name is not being released until their family has been notified.

The vehicle, traveling west, left the south side of the highway and rolled over.
