July 4th Safety Enforcement Results In 18 Violations – One Arrest
According to a report from The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, on July 2, 2016, members of the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic safety checkpoint at the Wakonda State Park near LaGrange, Missouri, as part of the Fourth of July Holiday Safety Enforcement program.
The Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement agents made 66 contacts which resulted in one DWI Drug arrest, five traffic violations, and thirteen warnings for various traffic violations.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Missouri Park Rangers.
