Power Wheels Derby Smashing Success At Lewistown Appreciation Day

There was excitement and anticipation in the air as Power Wheel Derby contestants registered and lined up to compete for the trophies and medals to be awarded at the conclusion of the derby after the last balloon popped on Saturday, September 10, 2016 during Lewistown Appreciation Day festivities.

Boys and girls in all kinds of power wheel vehicles prepared for battle in the roped off arena in front of the Lewistown Clinic.  The youngsters were ready to show their driving and maneuvering skills to the best of their abilities.

Approximately 20 kids donned helmets to vie for the coveted 1st place trophy that in the end was presented to DeClan Montgomery of LaBelle in a pink and lavender jeep.  The second place winner was Emma Christine of Shelbyville in a gold and black two seater  and third place went to Elijah Cunningham of Lewistown in a black Corvette.
