Multiple Vehicle Crash West of Edina

Highway 6 approximately one-half mile west of Edina was closed and partially closed for more than an hour on Friday morning, October 21, 2016 following a crash involving multiple vehicles at around 9:30 a.m.dsc_0871 dsc_0892

According to information gathered at the scene, the crash occurred after the driver of a pickup truck attempted to pass a rock truck west of the Knox County rock quarry. When the driver of the pickup truck attempted to return to his lane, he clipped the front of the rock truck, which began a chain reaction. The pickup truck also crashed into several vehicles headed in the opposite direction including two tractor-trailer rock trucks.dsc_0864

The driver of the pickup truck was taken from the scene in a Knox County Ambulance with non life threatening injuries.  The drivers of the other vehicles were not injured.
