Shop Knox County First This Holiday Season, Chamber Bucks Raffle Going on Now

By Echo Menges

The Knox County Chamber of Commerce’s Shop Knox County First Chamber Bucks Raffle Bucket promotional event is going on now through Christmas. Raffle buckets have been dropped off at participating Chamber businesses.

People who patronize those businesses can enter their name and phone number for a chance to win one of three $50 Chamber Bucks Gift Certificates, which can be redeemed at a participating Chamber business. Also, some businesses may decide to have their own drawings during the promotion.

The focus of the promotion is to encourage local shoppers to patronize local businesses first, before taking their business elsewhere, because spending locally greatly helps the local economy.

The Chamber Bucks Raffle Buckets were placed the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, which is the last business day before Black Friday and Small Business Monday. The buckets will be collected the right after Christmas on the first business day following the holiday and names will be drawn and announced soon after.

Please support the local economy and Shop Knox County First this holiday season!

The Chamber’s annual Christmas Celebration barrage of activity will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016, which includes a visit from Santa, soup supper, hayrides, caroling, spirit tasting, a gift fair, chocolate tasting, open houses, a live nativity, cookie decorating and more. The schedule of events taking place at various locations around Edina during the Christmas Celebration on December 9 will be included in next week’s edition of The Edina Sentinel.
