Knox County Christmas Celebration Schedule

The Knox County Chamber of Commerce Annual Christmas Celebration in Edina will take place on Friday, December 9, 2016! Events like hayrides, a visit from Santa, a craft/gift fair, soup supper, several open houses, caroling, a live Nativity scene and more will be taking place all over town with the majority of activities happening around the Edina Town Square. The full schedule is listed below.

Edina Farm & Home Storewide 20% Off Everything Sale
8am-5pm
Stop by and shop! Buy anything in the store for 20% off cash and carry. The Edina Farm & Home store is located on West Reid Street off Highway 6/15 south of the four way.

Bailey’s Floral & Gifts Open House & Raffle Giveaway
8am-8pm
Stop by and sign up to win Flowers for the Year! Bailey’s is located on Highway 6 a few blocks east of the courthouse.

Hardwood Xpress Giveaway
9am-8:30pm
Stop and put in your order for a free ornament for babies born in 2016 that live in Knox County! Hardwood Xpress is located east of the courthouse.

Christmas Gift Fair
3pm-8pm
Visit the Knox County Community Center! Vendors, crafters and local businesses and organizations will be set up and selling a wide assortment of items, hosting silent auctions, and raffling off prizes! The community center is located north of the courthouse.

C&R Market Food Tasting
4pm-7pm
Stop in the C&R Market to taste different holiday dishes prepared by the staff at the local store. C&R Market is located on North 4th Street a few blocks north of the courthouse.

C&R Liquor Depot Spirit Tasting
4pm-7pm
Stop by and taste some seasonal spirits! (Adults 21 & over only.) C&R Liquor Depot is located on North 4th Street a few blocks north of the courthouse.

Relay for Life Chocolate Tastin’
3pm-8pm
The Annual Chocolate Tastin’ is one of the Christmas Celebration’s most popular attractions! A forty-foot table full of assorted chocolate goodies will be available to choose from at the Knox County Community Center to raise money for the Knox County Relay for Life!

Chamber of Commerce Soup Supper
5pm-7pm
The Annual Knox County Chamber of Commerce Soup Supper will be held at the Edina American Legion Hall! An assortment of soups will be offered to attendees. Freewill donations will be accepted. The American Legion Hall is located south of the courthouse.

Knox County Courthouse Open House
5pm-7pm
The Knox County Courthouse will be open for community members to come in and see the new improvements to the building. Refreshments will be served and everyone is invited to come in and see the how nice the courthouse looks!

MU Extension Office Open House & Hot Chocolate Bar
5:30pm-7:30pm
The Knox County University of Missouri Extension Office will be hosting their annual Open House serving hot chocolate and refreshments! The office is located east of the courthouse.

New Hope Christmas Caroling
6pm-7:30pm
The New Hope Baptist Church will host a sing-along Christmas music gathering complete with refreshments! The church is located west of the courthouse.

Hayes’ Hayrides
6pm-8pm
Weather Permitting
This year’s hayrides are possible thanks to the Hayes family, Scott Jansen and Billy Mallett. We hope to have two tractors and trailers rolling between C&R Market and the First Christian Church. Pickup will be on Monticello Street between the Knox County Community Center and the courthouse.

Christian Church Live Nativity Scene
6pm-8pm
Members of the First Christian Church of Edina will be enacting four scenes outside of the Christian Church, located a few blocks east of the courthouse on Highway 6.

Visit from Santa at Lucky’s Cafe
6pm-8pm
Santa Claus will be in Edina! Watch him arrive on an Edina Fire Truck and circle the Edina Town Square at 6pm sharp! He will be dropped off at the Lucky’s Café, east of the courthouse, where he plans to spend time visiting with children! Lucky’s Café is assisting Santa this year by supplying a gift for every child who comes to visit with him! Lucky’s Café is located east of the courthouse.

KCPC Cookie Decorating at Lucky’s Cafe
6pm-8pm
The Knox County Promotional Council will be at Lucky’s Café helping children decorate Christmas cookies. Delicious sugar cookies and a colorful assortment of icing will be on hand for little ones to decorate a Christmas cookies! Lucky’s Café is located east of the courthouse.
