DWI Saturation
As a result of the grant we received for the St. Patrick’s Day DWI Enforcement Campaign conducted by law enforcement agencies statewide, we were able to make two drug arrests and three DWI arrests during the enforcement period, March 15-18, 2018. This grant paid for officer overtime extra staffing.
I would like to take the time to remind citizens driving while intoxicated is a selfish crime endangering the lives of our families, friends and members of the community.
Since the last issuance of this report, we have given one ride home to an intoxicated individual who called the Sheriff’s Office for a ride. We offer this service to individuals depending on the availability of our officers. The safety of our citizens is of the utmost importance.
