Northeast Missouri Drought Meeting to be Held in Edina on Monday Evening, August 13th
Edina, MO – Farmers and livestock producers are faced with a multitude of drought related dilemmas from hay shortages to dried up farm ponds. Members of the University of Missouri Extension staff have scrambled to put together a drought meeting for the Northeast Missouri region.
Agriculture and livestock producers are invited to attend and obtain valuable up-to-date information on the current drought at the coming meeting.
“It’s basically going to help walk people through what they can do as far as feed alternatives, silage, by-product feeding, cover crops and the programs available to help them financially through the drought,” said University of Missouri Extension Interim Northeast Regional Director Karisha Devlin.
The 2-hour meeting will feature multiple presenters who will be conveying important information and giving people resources concerning the current drought.
The drought meeting will be held at the Knox County Community Center on Monday, August 13, 2018, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. It is open to the public and free of charge. A complementary meal will be served during the meeting.
Please RSVP by calling: (660)665-9866 or (660)397-2179
Also, nemonews.net will live stream the meeting from the nemonews.net Facebook Page for those who cannot attend, but want to.
