Pedestrian Kneeling In Road Struck By Vehicle

According to an online Crash Report on the Missouri State Highway Patrol website, Tuesday evening, September 10, 2019, at approximately 6:08 p.m., in Adair County, on Missouri Highway 11, approximately one-half mile north of Highway 3, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
The report states that a suicidal subject, William R. Schoolcraft, 29, of Rutledge, Missouri, was kneeling in the driving lane when he was struck by Andrew M. Couch, 33, of Edina, Missouri. Schoolcraft sustained serious injuries and was flown by Air Evac to University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
Couch was not injured in the crash and no medical treatment was necessary.
The 2006 Pontiac Grand Am that Couch was driving had moderate damage and was removed from the scene by Hunter’s Body Shop of Edina.
The MSHP was assisted at the scene by the Adair County Sheriff’s Department, Adair County EMS, Air Evac, and Adair County First Responders.
