Brashear improved to 2-6 on the season, defeating Braymer by a 60-38 final score at the NCMC Holiday Shootout at Trenton. The games were played on December 21, 2019. The Tigers opened up a closely played first half with a decisive 20-3 third quarter run.
The teams were locked in a ten all tie after the first quarter. Brandon Jochimsen scored ten of the 16 second quarter Tiger points. Brashear held a 26-22 lead at intermission.
Tie Tigers did a good job of getting to the rim. Brashear scored 24 field goals while allowing only 11 field goals defensively. Brashear led 46-25 after the third quarter.
Brandon Jochimsen led all scorers with 30 Tiger points. Garrett Housman tossed in 13 points. Cody Mallett and Austin Peterson scored four points each. Landon Fisher scored three points. Avery Zentz and Lane Stutsman added two points each.
Braymer defeated Brashear by a final score of 46-35 in the girls’ game. Kynleigh White and Alexa Higgins led Brashear with 12 points each. Higgins completed a double-double, pulling down 11 rebounds.
Hannah Grissom scored eight Tiger points with five steals and five assists. Callie Althide recorded four steals.
