Salisbury Edges Knox County Boys In Double Overtime, Lady Panthers Complete Sweep

Knox County and Salisbury played about as close a game as it gets during December 17, 2019 Lewis and Clark Conference play at Salisbury. The Eagles (2-4, 0-1) took a 15-11 first quarter lead.
Salisbury slowly clawed back and sent the contest to overtime tied at 52. Knox County led 30-27 at the half and 40-39 after three quarters.
The Panthers outscored Knox County 10-7 in overtime for the 62-59 win. Jackson King led all scorers with 27 Salisbury points.
Grant Biere scored 12 Panther points. Conner Hayes fired in 20 Knox County points. Braydon Miller was in double figures with 11 points. Trent Klocke scored nine points. Coltin Morrow scored eight.
Robert Mauck put in seven points. Jacob Becker scored six Eagle points. Knox County was 10-18 from the free throw line. Salisbury went 18-27 from the stripe. Salisbury held an 18-17 advantage from the field.
Knox County was able to hang with Salisbury in the first half during the girls game. The Lady Panthers opened matters up with a 17-8 third quarter then closed on an 18-4 run for a 66-36 win.
Knox County trailed 31-24 at intermission. Salisbury led 48-32 after three quarters.
Khloe Wyatt led the Panthers with 21 points. Bryn Wooldridge scored 12 Salisbury points. Maddie White was in double figures with ten points.
Riley Strange led the Lady Eagles with 19 points. Alyssa Peavler, Kylee Woods and Daniela Dooley scored four points each. Brianna Miller scored three points and Jaiden Linebaugh added two.
