Betty Ann Dixson, age 80, of Novelty, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in Columbia, MO.  She was born in Plevna, MO, September 15, 1940, the daughter of Marion Milton and Flossie Lee Montague Poor.  She was united in marriage to Dale Lee Dixson on June 22, 1957, in Clarence, MO.  

Betty Ann received her education in Plevna and Edina.  She and her husband resided most of their lives in the Novelty community.  Betty was employed for several years with Kelly Lime and Rock and she also owned and operated the Novelty Café for several years.  She was a member of the Red Hats Society and enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family.

  Surviving are her husband Dale Dixson of Novelty, MO, three children, Roy (Jo) Dixson of Edina, MO, Linda (Dixson) Green and Tracy Dixson both of Round Rock, TX, eighteen grandchildren, Brad, Nicole, Amber, Parker, Lexi, Chase, Chris, Steffan, Kyra, Haven, Dakota, Darren, Braydon, Traci, Jami, Te`a, Issac and Alaina, fifteen great grandchildren, and sister-in-law Sharon (Merlyn Dale) Poor.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Brenda Dixson Leckbee, her brothers, Donald Gene Poore and Merlyn Dale Poor, a grandson Brian Dixson, a great grandson Darren Roberts, and her grandparents, Harlen and Bessie Montague and Robert and Mable Poor.

There will be no services.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, evening September 22, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.  Burial will be held at a later date in the Newark Cemetery.
