Just three years after opening for business in Northeast Missouri, Country View Store has outgrown their building and become the employer of a substantial workforce.
On Wednesday, September 23, 2020, Country View closed for business a couple of hours early, remained closed the following day in order to complete the move from the old building to the new, and opened the newly built store on Friday.
The feat of completing the entire move in such a short amount of time was accomplished by a host of hands helping to make it happen under the direction of owners Lowell and Jerilyn Brubaker. Their families, friends and employees worked diligently until the job was done.
Country View’s new location is right next door to the old one on the west side of Highway 15 about one mile south of the US Highway 136 junction southwest of Memphis, MO.
The new building more than doubles the size of the store and includes a deli, a much larger frozen food section and makes room for many new kinds of products.
The new location also features a year-round garden supply addition and greenhouse, which will be opened and operated by the Burkholder’s Dutch Garden Nursery in the coming weeks.
The Brubakers did not expect the business to expand like it has over the last three years. They opened the doors in October of 2017 with only four employees. Today they have between 17 and 20 employees, according to the owners, and now have room to grow even more.
