Over the summer months the Federal Government released millions of dollars to the State of Missouri earmarked as Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding. Knox County received approximately $464,000.
The Knox County Commission was charged with distributing the funding and did so in two rounds of approval and disbursement.
Those who applied for CARES Act funding underwent a extensive application process. As of September 18, 2020, nearly all of the money had been distributed with only a few hundred remaining in the fund.
Knox County entities who received CARES Act funding along with the award amount are listed below:
