HARRIET BLAKE

  Harriet Mae Blake age 82, of Edina, Missouri, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020, in the Knox County Nursing Home.  She was born June 2, 1938, in Knox County, Missouri, the daughter of Clifford Delbert and Hazel Virginia Gosney Whitmire.  She was united in marriage to Leon Blake on September 9, 1956, in LaBelle, Missouri.

  Surviving are her husband Leon Blake of Edina, MO; three children, Nicholas Wayne (Vickie) Blake of Troy, MO, Martin Eric (Andrea) Blake of Edina, MO, and Shari Annette (Marty) Cline of Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Bobby (Pat) Blake of Quincy, IL; and two sisters-in-law, Nadine Parrott of Wichita, KS and Peggy Motter of Edina, MO.  Harriett was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Leon Clifford Blake on March 18, 2013.

  Harriet graduated from Edina High School.   She was a homemaker.  She had resided in Boston and Palmyra in 1956 and 1957 and 43 years in St. Louis, MO before moving to Edina.   Harriet enjoyed yard sales and visiting with family and friends especially a close friend Jean in St. Peters, MO.   She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Edina, MO.

  Visitation will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday, December 10, 2020 with funeral services at 10:30 a.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.  Reverend John Bode will officiate the services. 

Burial will be in the Knox City Cemetery.  

  Casket bearers will be Russell Phillips, Matt Kriegshauser, Richard Whitaker, Roger Griffith, Mike Hamlin and Gary Clair.

  Memorials are suggested to the Edina First Baptist Church or the Knox City Cemetery.
