MICHAEL F. AUCUTT

Michael F. Aucutt, age 72, passed away at home in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, on December 11, 2020.

Born in Gibson Hospital in Edina, Missouri, on August 2, 1948, his parents were Bobby and Marjorie Karhoff Aucutt.  Michael was raised in Edina with his siblings, Pamela and Dennis.  Michael graduated from Knox County High School in Edina with the class of 1966.

He joined the Air Force in 1967 and met his wife, Diana S. Richard, in Lowell, Massachusetts.  They were married in 1968 at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Dracut, Massachusetts.

Mike served in the Air Force in Korea for 4 years during the Vietnam war.  Following a short break, he enlisted in the Army.  He retired from the Army in 1990. He worked for retail establishments in security and then the phone company GTE while pursuing a college degree.  He graduated in 1997 with a BS from Missouri Baptist University. 

Along with his wife and son, Michael moved to Lansdale, PA in 2002 to help care for his grandchildren.  

He loved reading, watching Christmas movies (particularly A Christmas Story) and The Wizard of Oz, and playing cribbage.  During his military career, he assisted military personnel in transferring out of difficult situations.  He had a sharp wit and could always tell a good story when asked.

A wonderful husband, father, grandfather and recent great grandfather, Mike is survived by his wife, Diana, his four children, Jerry Aucutt of Conroy, Texas, Anita Angelopoulos (and husband Andy) of Horham, PA, Bobby Aucutt of Lansdale, PA, and Michael S. Aucutt of Arnold, Missouri, as well as six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also, his sister Pamela Seppelt and husband Mark of Florida; aunt Minnie Childress and his cousins in the Edina, Missouri area, and aunts, uncles and cousins out of the area.  

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis Aucutt.  

His funeral was held on December 21, 2020, at St. Stanislaus Church in Lansdale.  Interment was at Washington National Cemetery in Newtown.
