Irvine Fills in as Temporary Postmaster in Edina

By Echo Menges

Edina, Missouri – The Edina United States Post Office has been under the management of Mike Irvine, 60, since early November 2020.

Irvine has taken on the role of Officer in Charge since Edina Postmaster Theresa Hunolt took a leave of absence to undergo a medical procedure and expects to remain in place until she returns.

Before coming to Edina, Irvine was a Supervisor at the Lancaster Post Office where he has been since 2003. He has also worked as City Mailcarrier for seven years and a Clerk for two years through the United States Post Office.

“I like it here,” said Edina Post Office OIC Mike Irvine with a smile. “It’s a lot less stressful here.”

Irvine is originally from Indianna. He and his wife Sharon live in Kirksville.
