Lord, Give Me Strength
I opened the curtains one morning and there was Snow everywhere, on the grass, sidewalks, even a little squirrel feeder. As I went to take a picture of the beautiful winter scene, a squirrel stuck his head around the corner and the look on his face, priceless. “Nope. Not today. Isn’t going to happen!”
And, I pondered, “O Lord, sometimes I feel like that squirrel, “Nope. Not today. Isn’t going to happen,” when my first priority should be to be on my knees in prayer, “Lord, give me strength for this day.”
“Thou art my portion, O LORD.”—Psalm 119:57.
“UNTO Thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.”—Psalm 23:1.
And, my heart began to sing, “This is the day the Lord has made; He calls the hours His own; Let heavenly rejoice, let earth be glad, and praise surround the throne.”—Isaac Watts.
