My Hope Is in You, Lord
We gained a new resident in our yard about ten months ago, a rabbit who likes to sit by the fence or under a wind breaker my husband built for her. Little paw prints leading under our porch let us know she’s built a winter nest close by.
Recently, a family member had a short hospital stay and on the way home, we saw a rabbit sitting in the middle of the highway. I thought, “Surely, that’s not OUR rabbit travelling all this way to see us.”
Then, as the rabbit safely crossed the highway into an open field, I pondered, “O Lord, what a beautiful reminder: You never leave us nor forsake us.”
“My life is in You, Lord; My strength is in You, Lord; My hope is in You, Lord.”—Gardner.
“We love Him, because He first loved us.”—I John 4:19.
