Laverne Ann Pulse, age 70, of Knox City, Missouri, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021, in Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri. She was born August 9, 1950, in Hawaii, the daughter of Hollis and Emma Wada Henry.

Laverne was united in marriage to Keith Pulse on September 15, 1989 in Ewing, MO.

Surviving are her husband Keith Pulse of Knox City, MO; two sons, Craig Dean Miller of Knox City, MO, and Michael Brent Miller of Knox City, MO; four sisters, Shirley Griffin of Des Moines, IA, Lena Henry of Collinsville, IL, Corrine (Carl) Raine of LaBelle, MO, and Nellie Henry of O’Fallon, MO; five grandchildren, Morgan, Hannah, Erica, Hope and Logan Miller; one great granddaughter Lillian Quinn Olsen; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alicia Henry, Carl Raine, Tony (Rhonda) Pulse, Karen (Terry) Goodwin; and several nieces and nephews.

Laverne graduated from Highland High School. She was employed at Motorola in Quincy for several years, Knox County Nursing Home, Adair Foods and Kid’s-R-Us Day Care in Edina, MO. Recently Laverne was a nanny for the Van Delft family in Edina, MO.

Laverne enjoyed golfing, fishing, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She attended the Edina Assembly of God Church.

Laverne’s wishes were to be cremated. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
