Strength In His Sheltering Wings
My husband and I were down by the river one day and saw several pelicans floating along. Then a bald eagle soared down from the sky, ready to grab a fish. A pelican must have seen him at the same time and came skipping across the water towards the eagle. I shouted, “Hey, there’s plenty of fish for everyone.” The bald eagle quickly snatched his dinner and took off at lightning speed.
And my heart pondered, “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”—Isaiah 40:31.
“Be strong in the Lord, and be of good courage; your mighty defender is always the same. Mount up with wings, as the eagle ascending; Victory is sure when you call on His name.”—Johnson.
