Hayden Ferguson pitched a three inning one hitter, leading Kirksville to a 21-0, three inning win at Highland. The March 27, 2021 contest saw Ferguson strike out six batters with no walks.
The Tigers scored five first inning runs. Kirksville scored eight times in the second and third innings. Kirksville scored 21 runs on 13 hits. Logan Blickhan was 3-3 at bat with two runs scored and four batted in.
Jalen Kent was 2-3 with two runs scored and two batted in. Pearce Crawford drove in three Tiger runs.
Cameron Bringer had the lone Cougar hit. Curtis Miller pitched the first two innings for Highland. Miller struck out one batter with three walks on 12 hits. Nine of the 13 runs charged to the Highland starter were earned.
Seth Evans pitched a third of an inning, walking six on three hits. Seven of the eight runs charged to Evans were earned. Luke Geisendorfer pitched 2/3 of an inning without a hit or run allowed.
