Haley McNamar went 4-4 at the plate with three runs scored and two driven in, leading the Lady Tiger offense to a 9-0 Tri-County Conference win at Linn County. The September 3, 2021 softball contest saw sophomore Alexa Borgmeyer flirt with a perfect game.
Morgan Livingston singled with two out in the fourth inning, for the lone Mustang base runner of the day. Alexa Borgmeyer struck out 18 Linn County batters on one hit in seven innings pitched.
Kynleigh White le off the game with a walk. Haley McNamar sent White to second with a hit. McNamar scored on a wild pitch for a one run Brashear lead after one inning. Alexa Borgmeyer doubled leading off the Lady Tiger second inning. Mustang hurler Mikaela Rojas set the next three batters down in order, keeping Brashear up by one run.
Aubrey Borgmeyer tripled leading off the Lady Tiger third inning. Haley McNamar singled Borgmeyer home for a 2-0 Brashear lead. Sierra Snyder plated McNamar with a base hit.
Lacey Fisher singled. Brashear loaded the bases but could not add to their three run lead after three innings. The Lady Tigers had runners all over the bases in their fourth inning. Aubrey Borgmeyer and Haley McNamar singled but could not score.
Sierra Snyder singled leading off the fifth inning. Paige Stutsman walked. Mikaela Rojas kept the Tigers off the board again for a 3-0 lead after five frames. Haley McNamar and Sierra Snyder singled in the sixth inning. Linn County held defensively.
Brashear broke through with a two out seventh inning rally. Tayla Garlock and Cassidy Althide singled with two out and scored. The next five batters reached on walks, errors and hit batsmen.
Tayla Garlock had two hits in the same inning. Paige Stutsman had a Brashear hit. The Lady Tigers scored nine runs on 14 hits. Aubrey Borgmeyer was 2-4 with two runs scored and another batted in. Sierra Snyder went 2-3 at bat with a run scored and an RBI.
