Brashear Sweeps Meadville In Tri-County Conference Play

Brashear scored 11 unanswered runs, winning their September 9, 2021 home softball game with Meadville by an 11-1 final score in six innings. Aubrey Borgmeyer went 3-4 at the plate with a run scored and two batted in. Haley Mcnamar was 2-3 for the Lady Tigers with two runs scored and another batted in.
Alexa Borgmeyer and Paige Stutsman had a hit and two RBIs each. Alexa Borgmeyer struck out 13 batters with no walks on four hits. The Lady Tigers went 2-0 in conference play.
J Mollohan doubled leading off the Meadville second inning. Lindsey Lightle singled Mollohan home with the first Lady Eagle run. Brashear answered in their third inning.
Mackenzie Baker walked with one out in the frame.
Tayla Garlock then Aubrey Borgmeyer collected back-to-back singles. Aubrey Borgmeyer and Kynleigh White drove home the Lady Tiger runners for a 2-1 lead after three innings.
Haley Mcnamar singled leading off the Brashear fourth. Sierra Snyder doubled. Both players scored for a 4-1 Tiger lead. Aubrey Borgmeyer doubled leading off the Tiger fifth inning.
Meadville saved a run with a solid defensive play, retiring Aubrey Borgmeyer at the plate for the second out. Lacey Fisher reached on a fielder’s choice. Haley Mcnamar was hit by a pitch. Sierra Snyder reached on an error, scoring Fisher.
Alexa Borgmeyer stroked an RBI double. Paige Stutsman plated Sierra Snyder with hit for a 7-1 Brashear lead after five complete innings.
Tayla Garlock reached base on an error leading off the Tiger sixth inning. Aubrey Borgmeyer, Kynleigh White, Lacey Fisher and Haley Mcnamar stroked consecutive hits. Lacey Fisher scored the winning run on a wild pitch.
Brashear scored 11 runs on 11 hits. Meadville scored one run on four hits. Jayce Mollohan went 5 1/3 innings for the Lady Eagles. Mollohan struck out two batters with one walk. Six of the 11 Tiger runs were earned.
