Brashear (3-2) scored eight first inning runs and went on to a 12-2 win over Novinger in September 14, 2021 Tri-County Conference baseball play. Carson Erwin and Lane Stutsman hit Tiger home runs during the first inning.
Jace Snelling reached on a first inning error and scored on Lane Stutsman’s first inning home run. John Higgins plated Jack Reeves with an RBI hit. Nate Triplett doubled John Higgins and Avery Zentz home.
Carson Erwin hit a two run homer, scoring Lucas Keller for the 8-0 first inning lead. Beau Yos scored on a third inning error. Jace Snelling threw a runner out stealing for the final out of the Novinger third.
John Higgins drew a third inning error, scoring Brandon Jochimsen for a nine run second inning lead. Jace Snelling scored a third inning run for the 10-1 Tiger lead after three innings.
Drew Magruder led off the Novinger fourth inning with a hit. Ryder Russell stroked an RBI ground out for a 10-2 tally. Lucas Keller doubled leading off the Brashear fifth inning. Carson Erwin followed with a hit. Jace Snelling smacked a two RBI double, scoring the game winning runs.
Novinger (0-5) scored two runs on four hits. Jace Brownell led the Wildcats with a 2-3 day at the plate. Nolan Partin pitched 2/3 of an inning allowing six unearned runs on three hits.
Xander Broadwell pitched an inning and a third with one walk, one strikeout on two hits and three unearned runs. Trent Yardley pitched two full innings with two strikeouts, two walks and four hits. Three runs charged to Yardley were earned.
Brashear scored 12 runs on nine hits. Carson Erwin and Jace Snelling were 2-4 each with two runs scored and two batted in. Erwin hit a home run. Lane Stutsman hit a home run and had two RBI’s.
John Higgins and Nate Triplett drove in two runs each. Lucas Keller scored two runs with one hit. Carson Erwin pitched the five inning distance for Brashear. Erwin struck out eight with three walks on four hits. One of the two Novinger runs was earned.
