Brashear took a seven run lead after two innings of September 14, 2021 Tri-County Conference softball play with Novinger and powered to an 11-1 win in six innings. Alexa Borgmeyer hit a grand slam home run and struck out 12 Lady Wildcat batters in six innings pitched.
Abby Fountain drove Elise Hettinger home with the lone Novinger run in the fourth inning. Fountain doubled with one out in the fourth.
The Lady Wildcats (0-9, 0-3) scored one run on three hits. Zoe O’Neal pitched five and a third innings with seven strikeouts, seven walks on nine hits. Seven of the Brashear runs were earned.
Lacey Fisher and Haley McNamar reached base in the bottom of the first inning. Both runners scored on bases loaded walks for a 2-0 Brashear lead.
Aubrey Borgmeyer drew a one out walk in the Tiger second inning. Lacey Fisher doubled the runner home. Alexa Borgmeyer sent the softball over the fence for a grand slam home run and a 7-0 Brashear advantage.
Lacey Fisher singled and scored in the Brashear fourth for an 8-1 lead. Paige Stutsman drew an error with one out in the fifth inning. Aubrey Borgmeyer singled. Both runners scored for a 10-1 lead.
Sierra Snyder singled leading off the Brashear sixth inning. Alexa Borgmeyer doubled. Tayla Garlock drove the winning run home with a ground ball and an 11-1 victory in six innings.
Brashear (4-4, 3-0) scored 11 runs on nine hits. Lacey Fisher went 2-4 at the plate with three runs scored and two batted in. Haley McNamar, Sierra Snyder and Alexa Borgmeyer had two hits each. McNamar and Snyder scored two runs each.
